The front page shows the list of sections, this list is also available into from the sidebar of any pages of the Codex site.
On documentation pages, there’s a specific widget listing the section chapters of the displayed page. This widget is looking for chapters belonging to the same category of this displayed page. For instance All chapters of the “Getting started” section are assigned to the “Getting started” category.
So to put chapters into a section, just assign them the same category than the main section page.
